A portfolio containing a studio demo or live recording of solo or group work is recommended. At least one year of private lessons, or one-year experience in an instrumental or vocal ensemble is preferred. Portfolios may contain CD/DVD performances, original compositions, lyrics or written evaluations from festivals or competitions. Included in the portfolio should be a resume of the student’s past musical achievements, a short bio, and a statement of music career goals and objectives.
