About The Force!
The DHS Marching Band is an optional activity for members of the DCA Music Program, as well as students attending Dillard High that are not enrolled in the performing arts program. For years, the Dillard High School Marching Band has thrilled thousands of fans with exciting performances that have made this historically one of the most recognized and requested marching units in South Florida. That tradition of excellence thrives today as the DHS Marching Panthers continues its pursuit of the highest levels of visual and musical performance any time it takes the field!
When a student transitions from middle school to high school, it is important for new students to find their place within the new high school environment. As a member of the DHS Marching Panthers, you will be surrounded by friends before classes even begin. This “family” will provide a valuable support system throughout your high school career, helping you adjust to life at Dillard High and create life-long friendships.
“The Force” performs for all home football games, at most local away games, various parades and corporate events through out the tri-county area. Our annual preseason band camp on the DHS campus brings band members together weeks before “Panther Preview”, which is DHS’s orientation for new students. It provides them with an opportunity to meet their new classmates and friends while learning and polishing the skills necessary to qualify as a member of the “FINEST BAND IN THE LAND.”
