2nd Annual Summer Jazz Workshop Registration Now Open

The Summer Jazz Workshop is an exciting two week intensive youth oriented program that focuses on the fundamentals of jazz music for young musicians.

The Summer Jazz Workshop is open to middle school and high school students. Students must have their own instruments to participate in the program. Sessions are conducted by experienced faculty musicians who expose the students to various subjects and concepts not fully covered by private and/or traditional public school systems.

The workshop’s curriculum includes the subject areas theory, improvisation, ear training, practice, understanding forms and composition, leadership, and performances.  Students enrolled in the workshop are given the opportunity to perform at Arts Park in Hollywood as a part of the culminating performance. Senior Textbook News

Please return all textbooks to Student Affairs, Ms. Mathews ASAP. Senior Exams are quickly approaching and Senior textbooks need to be returned to school to avoid any obligations. Make sure that you are being responsible and taking care of all requirements and obligations for a successful graduation. Finish Strong Seniors!

Super Testing Information

Dillard High 6-12 is having Super Testing on April 19, 20, 26, 27, May 3, and 4th.

School hours will be from 7:40 until 11:30 on these days. Students must attend school on their scheduled test days. On any days that a student is not scheduled to test, we will have academic camps available to prepare them for upcoming tests.

Forms listing the student’s specific testing schedule and the academic camps were sent home on Thursday, April 7th. Students were to return the forms to their English teachers by Monday, April 11th.

There will not be activity buses on these days.

Summer Youth Employment Program: Apply Now

Want to earn some extra $$$ this summer?

The Summer Youth Employment Program operates for 8 weeks from June 2016 – August 2016. Youth will work approximately 30 hours per week during the program, and will earn the current minimum wage per hour.

Who is eligible to apply?
Economically disadvantaged Broward County residents, ages 16-18.
